1979 Mercury Zephyr Z-7 Pickup Conversion

A very unique “one off” handy little pickup. It was once thought to be “THE” “Durango” prototype, but I can not confirm that! In any case, it is very similar, except that because it has Zephyr Wagon taillights, not mounted in the tailgate, the taillights are still visible when the tailgate is open. (Not the case with a Durango.) It has storage for a full-size spare tire hidden in the bed. VIN 9E35Y616526
Carbureted 302, Automatic, P/S, P/B, A/C, Tilt, Cruise, Edelbrock Valve Covers and Air Cleaner. Sport Steering Wheel, Hood Scoop, Kilometer Speedometer, ASA 5 spoke wheels (4 bolt setup) (Tires good for a driver.)

Engine doesn’t run, it’s locked. It was running/driving till sometime in 2022 or 2023 as it has a February 2023 inspection sticker.
