I bought this 1979 with hopes of restomod.
There’s a handful of rust and as a ford guy hurts my heart to part out, I hope someone likes it as much as me that can afford the repairs.
But if not I will part out and can make more money that way but it’s not really about the money for me as it is the car.
The 1979 Fairmont is built on the Fox body mustang platform but lighter then the Fox. A lot of guys use these for drag racing bc of that reason. Rear to see these now of days ok car has floor pan rust, quarter panel rust and front frame rail rust. Nice thing about this car is all fox body frame rail repair panels work. As well as floor pans but not the quarts and you can’t find those so there custom handmade pieces. I was quoted 4K for all rust repair that’s including mini tubing and frame strengthening which again all foxbody mustang kits work on this car.
Car was originally from Missouri, title in hand. The motor is a 302. I was told it was a 331 stroker I do not know that for sure, I do know it has one heck of a lope when its started has edelBrock valve covers, intake and electric fuel pump. Holley carburetor. Brakes do not work the vacuum line has been disconnected. Ac has been deleted. Rear seats and headliner looks immaculate Dash cover needs replaced Front seat looks decent but is worn on driver-side comes with a Shelton repair manual.Also a 5 gallon fuel cell. Has brand new wheels and tires,four lug drag slicks Mickey Thompson.
Car is 302 with C4 transmission 8.8 rear end with 411 gears. I have to get 2500 firm out of the car that’s what I got in it or I can part the car out I’ll take 800 for the motor, 400 for the trans, 300 for the rear end , 500 for the wheels and tires 75 for each fender, 75 for each door and 75 for the hood, hundred dollars for the rear seat, bumpers in great shape $75 each and contact me for any trim pieces.
