1978 Mercury Zephyr Box Top. Straight 6, automatic.
Runs, drives, stops. Not a perfect car but definitely decent. Starts right up every time, no battery drain whatsoever. Can sit for months and starts without jumping or starting fluid. Motor periodically runs choppy but goes away, could probably use a tune-up. Can feel a slight slip in the transmission if you floor the gas.
Springs were heated up and rear end welded. Comes with an 8.8 posi out of a Mustang and a v-8 cross-member. Interior is not bad but not perfect. Body is straight. Very minor dents above passenger’s side rear wheel well. Only rust is below the battery tray. Other rust was where the hood hinges are but was cut out and new sheet metal welded in place. Could be a daily with very minimal effort.
Lights and turn signals work, even the horn does, fuel gage doesn’t and neither does the radio. Heater will cook your face off. $3500 obo. Have signed off Oregon state title.
