Got a ’79 Mercury Zephyr for sale, gonna try my best to keep this short and sweet.

This car has been in the family for about 6 years and has been a daily driver the whole time. It still runs okay and gets me where I need. Unfortunately the household is growing and we don’t have the room for her anymore, so it’s time to move on. It’s got a Thrush muffler I installed a while back that gives it a wonderful throaty voice. I believe we’re only the 2nd owners of this car. It’s by no means perfect, expect some of the niggles and quirks of a car that is 43 years old, but overall she is in fantastic shape for the age and she still runs.

PROS:
No rust – Texas car from the start
Most comfortable ride a car can offer
Cosmetically in great shape
All original
Low miles – 71k
Clean Texas title
Never been in an accident
Regular maintenance and care
Will get you lots of smiles on the road
Same thing as a Ford Fairmont, which is essentially a Foxbody Mustang, which means some of those performance parts can fit on here

CONS:
AC has a leak, so a charge will only last about a month
Rack and pinion has developed a leak
Power steering leaks
Carburetor could use a rebuild down the line, she runs a little rich
Gas gauge does not work, so I keep a log of my fill-ups and refill every 100 miles or so
Might need tires soon
